How To Carry a Kayak While Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
I have a 16.5foot touring kayak and am buying a 5th wheel trailer. Is there a rack system that will allow me to carry that kayak on a full size pickup with an 8foot bed? Thank you.

In order to carry a kayak on a truck while towing a 5th wheel trailer you can use the Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier w/ Hitch Mounted Load Extender and Single-Bar Roof Rack part # DTA944-968-924 and install the load extender on the front of the truck with a front mount trailer hitch.
If you can provide me with the year, make, and model of the tow vehicle I will see if we have a front mount trailer hitch for you but otherwise you can just use our fitguide to find this. That said, this is really your only option to secure the kayak.

My tow vehicle is a 2014 F450 Powerstroke. Long 8 bed. 22 from bumper to bumper. I would have to put in a front hitch

The correct front mount trailer hitch for a 2014 Ford F-450 is the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65049.
