We have a new 2020 Subaru Forester. Would you recommend a 2inch or 1 1/4inch hitch for this rack/vehicle combination? Is this bike rack compatible with a 2020 Forester Premium /LFF? Thanks for your input.

The trailer hitch I recommend for a 2020 Subaru Forester is Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13409 which is a direct bolt-on fit with no cutting or drilling required. It has the larger 2" receiver tube opening which is what I recommend since you will have a much greater variety of hitch mounted accessories to choose from with this option.
In regards to a compatible bike rack, the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack part # S64683 would be a good option since you could fold it up against the vehicle while not in use. The Swagman G10 2-Bike Platform Rack that you referenced would not allow for this with the above trailer hitch.
