Question:
I have the roadmaster stowmaster 5000 tow bar and the two detachable brackets, traded old jeep now need new baseplates for 2020 wrangler. Is this a fairly easy no drill or need a shop to do it also? I also need the tow safety cables as lost them and a simple Toad brake recommend. Had the inertia type box that pushed pedal that worked fine.

According to Roadmaster, the # RM-521453-4 base plate kit will install using existing holes, but if the vehicle has a metal or plastic splash shield under the bumper, some trimming will need to be done using a die grinder/Dremel type-tool. I've linked the installation instructions for you to look over and see if the install is something you'd feel comfortable attempting. These base plates are compatible with the Roadmaster Stowmaster tow bar.
For safety cables, I'd recommend the # RM-643 which are coiled to prevent dragging on the ground. For a simple to use portable braking system like the # HM39494 from Brake Buddy would be a good choice. You'll also need a # RM-9332 12-v socket kit and a # RM-751490 stop lamp switch.
