Question:
I’m going to replace stock regulator and hoses with new. How long should hose’s be g G or a two tank connection? Currently have about 8” hoses that make a stiff “S” turn to connect which looks like it puts bending pressure on the connections. It seems to me a longer line making a pigtail would be better. Maybe a 2’? Also, should I use putty or tape on threads to help seal connections?

The Compact Low Pressure 2-Stage Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-31525 doesn't have a specific length requirement for the pigtail connections. You can absolutely use the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Stainless Overbraid - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 2' # 100833-24 but they are 3 times longer than your current pigtails. If you just want slightly longer hoses you can use the Propane Hose with Back Check - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 1-1/2' # 37207-30735 or even the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 20" # 100575-20-MBS.
MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail w/ Back Check - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 1-5/8'
MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail w/ Back Check - Type 1 x 1/4" MIF - Stainless Overbraid - 2'
Propane Hose with Back Check - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 1-1/2'
