Parts Needed To Add a 7-Way and Brake Controller to a 2019 Toyota RAV4
Question:
I already have the hitch for my Rav4 Adventure. I would like to get a 7 pin wiring harness to not only control the lights etc but to charge the battery and operate the brake controller on a Nucamp T@B 320S. What parts do I need and how would I wire it?

In order to install a 7-way trailer connector which can both power the brakes and charge the trailer battery on a 2019 Toyota RAV4 you'll need to start with a 4-way, the Curt Wiring Harness part # C56434 is what I recommend as it's plug-n-play and our most reliable option.
Once the 4-way is installed you can then adapt this to a 7-way, the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation part # ETBC7L which is designed to be used with the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180. The Curt Echo will be needed to control the brakes and I highly recommend this since it's one of the only wireless options therefore plug-n-play therefore won't won't require splicing into the vehicle and voiding any warranties.

One question about the ETBC7L: it has a blue wire to connect to the brake controller... but if I'm using the Curt Echo wireless controller there will not be a hardwire connection on the RAV for that blue wire. Does it just get tucked away, not used?
