Does the Installation of Derale 15902 on 2015 Toyota 4Runner Require the Use of the Sandwich Adapter
Question:
Do I not need to use the sandwich adapter with my 2015 T4R? I don’t see it mentioned in the video? It won’t work anyway because of the filter type...

When installing the Derale # D15902, the Universal thermostatic sandwich adapter is used to add your oil lines to the cooler. It's not necessary to install the adapter during installation if you don't want to have your oil cooled as well. Using this cooler without the adapter will only bring the temperature of your coolant down and not the engine oil with this type of installation.
You could look to see if there is an oil filter available that would allow you to use this feature or you may want to consider going with the Derale # D13614 which is doesn't have the additional engine oil cooling feature.
