Recommended Weight Distribution System for 2008 Honda Odyssey with 2007 StarCraft Pop-Up Trailer

Hi there, Im working on getting my 2008 Honda Odyssey outfitted for towing a 2007 StarCraft pop up trailer. Its weight is 2700+ lbs, my vans towing capacity is 3500. I have a Curt receiver hitch and a four pin wiring harness already installed. My question is related to the hitch height should I get a guy hitch with more height Curt 45070, 45060 or should my focus be elsewhere like the strut air lift products I saw on your site. Also on the pop-up trailer is a seven pin male wire connection. I need some sort of adapter. Can you help with my situation and recommend some products. Thanks

I recommend you first start with your hitch height, but a ball mount isn't the best route for your trailer. Because your trailer is so large compared to your trailer, I recommend you start with a weight distribution system because this will help with the height, reduce rear vehicle squat, and help with anti-sway when traveling. To use this you need a trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver like the Curt # C13068. You mentioned having a Curt hitch and there is a 1-1/4 inch option and a 2 inch option. If you have the 2 inch option, you will then use a weight distribution system like # FA92-00-0450 and hitch ball # 40038.

I've attached a couple articles to assist. If you want to add suspension support after this system let me know but this will be the biggest assistance with vehicle sag and ease of towing.
