Will the Malone RunWay Work On 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara With Rear Spare Tire Cover
Question:
I have a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara and I need a bike rack mount that fits at least three bikes. My problem is that I have a spare tire hard shell case on the back door. I need to know which product do you have that fits this car without scratching the spare tire cover? Thank you

If you want to use a spare tire bike rack like the Malone RunWay 3 Bike Rack part # MPG2148 on a vehicle with rear spare tire, you'll need to remove the spare tire cover while the rack is in use. In addition to scratches, the spare tire cover can cause the bike rack to shift and you run the risk of damage. In summary, if you want to carry the bikes with the rear spare tire you'll need to remove the cover. The other options entail installing a hitch or roof rack but these are much more expensive.
