Question:
Hi, Ive got a 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel long bed with a gooseneck hitch. Im purchasing a 5th wheel with a 10,300 lb. GVWR, 1520 lb. tongue weight. Is there any reason to consider Reese part #94720 over #94716, or would 94720 be overkill for this application?

In order to choose the correct Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter you'll need to first know which model pin box you have (1621, 1116, 1716 etc.) and then the weight capacity of the existing pin box. The part # RP94716 and part # RP94720 are both for a 1621 but have 16,000 lb and 20,000 lb weight capacities. I recommend going with the option that matches the capacity you have now but if you would like to go with a higher rated option for more of a safety margin that will be just fine as well.
