Question:
Hello. I’m trying to decide between a goose box or a genY did the wheel for my camper. What’s your opinion on what’s better? Thanks.

In regards to a Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter like part # RP94720 and a Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter Pin Box like part # 325-GH-8045, the main difference is that one uses air for cushioning and the other uses rubber. The benefit of air is that you can adjust the pressure for the desired ride quality and the benefit of rubber is that you don't have to worry about making any adjustments. Personally, I prefer the adjustability of the Reese Goose Box but both are great options.

Does the Gen Y or Reese Goose Box fit a 2018 Rockwood Signature Ultralite with a Reese Revolution fifth wheel hitch? There is no Lippert number on the pin box. 98714
Check to see if there is any type of part number on the Reese Revolution pin box at all. Sometimes the Revolution pin boxes aren't able to be replaced so that is another possibility. If you can't find any part numbers at all then you should be able to contact your trailer manufacturer with the VIN from your trailer and they can tell you what you have. 73496
