Question:
I have a trailer with an a-frame collar style coupler. I also need a of somewhere between 7-10 inches....not 100 sure exactly where yet so adjustable is necessary. The trouble that I have is with my current ball, the point of the a-frame catches and rubs through. Are there adjustable drops balls that give enough clearance for the a-frame collar style coupler?

Clearance issues with the collar lock style of trailer couplers are not typical. I'd be inclined to believe the issue is related to the ball mount you have now not having the clearance. We have the Convert-a-Ball adjustable ball mount # TK5007 which can do a drop of up to 10 inches and is priced really great. This gives a very standard ball mount platform too so clearance would not be an issue.
I attached a review video for this for you to check out as well.
