Question:
In the description of the rack rack it says not recommended for use on fifth wheel ,motor homes, or travel trailers. If the rack is built to handle the bike load Im putting on it why is it recommended not to use it on travel trailers, motor homes ,or fifth wheels ? I would be using a 2inch receiver welded to the frame like on the back of a pickup truck or SUV ? Thanks

The Kuat NV 2.0 Base 2-Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Tilting - Matte Black # BA22B is not rated for use on the back of a motorhome or trailer. The movement on the back of a travel trailer is the most significant but the 5th wheel or motorhome movement is also far more than the back of a vehicle due to the length behind the axle and the sway due to crosswinds and passing vehicles. That movement causes a lot of torque on the bike rack shank and moving parts can be damaged.
Manufacturers will sometimes not cover issues under warranty due to motorhome or trailer use, so we fit guide our racks accordingly even though the shank should hold up they don't guarantee it.
For a great option rated for 5th wheel use and Motorhome use I recommend the Hollywood Racks RV Rider 2 Bike Platform Rack for E-Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # HLY64FR. If you have a travel trailer then I recommend the Swagman Original # S64400. I've linked the page to all your options to assist with your specific needs.
