AC Replacement For Airstream with Dual Dometic Duo Therm Units

Question:

I have a 2001 Airstream 39foot Class A, It has 2 ducted Dometic Duo Therm 6003 series ACs with a dual zone thermostat. I want to replace them along with the thermostat, I want them to be quiet and efficient and be able to work with the same wiring. The units are 13,500 btu. What do you recomend?

Expert Reply:

Your best option is the Furrion Chill RV AC Unit for Replacing Dometic Brisk Setup # FACR15SA-W-C which has a 15.5k btu and will easily install using your current Dometic wiring and controls. That said there isn't a way to integrate into your current wiring and be able to also replace the thermostats. If that's the route you want to go you'll need a controller part # FACC12ZA-BL and a thermostat # FACW12ZA-BL with the unit # FACR14SA-BL.
