What is Best Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator for Trailer with Disc Brakes
Question:
I have a 2015 ram 3500 and 2019 Ram 1500 with factory install brake controller. I am looking at a Dexter K71-651 brake actuator. Will this syestem work together on a 7000 Lb rate trailer with hydraulic disc brakes?

Expert Reply:
The Dexter actuator part # K71-651 will work for your application but if you wanted the best solution I'd recommend the Hydrastar part # HBA16 as it has the fastest reaction time and we've found it to be the most reliable option out there that works the best with integrated brake controllers like what you have.
