Can I Replace 8-14.5 Tires with a Non-Metric Sized Tire
Question:
Is there a Different Tire Size that Will Fit in Place of an 8-14.5 Tire. I have a homemade trailer that has these size tires but would like to see if there is other tires available.

Expert Reply:
Because the 8-14.5 tire that you've got sits on a 14.5" wheel, so you wouldn't be able to switch tire sizes with anything that we have available without also switching to a new wheel as well.
If you've got a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern on your current hubs/wheels, you could use something like the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Vesper White Mod Wheel - 6 on 5-1/2 - Load Range D # TA23MR. The only downside is that these tires do have a bit less capacity, so you'll want to make sure that the new tires/wheels you choose would still be sufficient for your trailer size.
If you can let me know what your bolt pattern is and the GVWR of the trailer, I can confirm which wheel/tire combo will work best for you.
