Can 4 Bikes Be Carried With Curt Hitch for 2017 VW Golf

Question:

Is there an adapter that will allow this hitch to carry more than 2 bikes? I have the Thule 4 bike rack and will use the stabilization strap # 18050.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11412 which is a fit for a 2017 Volkswagen Golf can only carry two bikes due to the class I rating which is a standard for all class I trailer hitches. The only option to carry more than two bikes is with the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7309. The weight of the bike rack and four bikes cannot exceed 300 lbs so you should be fine. I'm sure it's more than you are looking to spend but it's the only option for more than two bikes to be carried.
