Can I Carry Kids Bikes Without Adapter Bar On Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack
Question:
I have a GMC Yukon and are interesting in this rack. I have 2 little girls bikes, a ladies bike and an mens bike. Your website talks about not needed the added adapter bar for kids and womens bikes. Can you confirm or explain this more?

Yes the Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack # C18064 can carry most kids and women's bikes without an adapter bar. The smaller and unique frames those bikes usually have creates issues on most bike racks when trying to keep the bikes level. Other times it is too challenging to get the bike rack arms through the frame or the arms are too spread out for the small frame. The tapered design of the bike rack makes it easier to fit a smaller frame bike like a kids bike on the last two spots.
With your setup I think it is still a good idea to use an adapter bar like Hollywood Racks Bike Frame Adapter Bar # HRBA-PRO for the women's bike. Some bikes top tube of the frame are at a downward angle and that causes your bike to have one of your tires up in the air and the other closer to the ground. I attached a video showing how this adapter bar works.
