Question:
I recently installed the Primus IQ in my 2020 Ram. It seems to work OK, except when I move the manual slider. Then it causes alerts on my truck related to several functions, like traction control and auto ignition off. I have wiring harness 3021-P and I now see that I should have 3024-P for newer Rams. Could the alerts be related to the cable or is there some other incompatibility? So far the alerts have gone away when I stop and restart the truck, but I dont want to damage anything. Thanks!

The issue you are experiencing with the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 in your 2020 Ram 1500 is assuredly due to the fact you have the incorrect brake controller wiring harness.
You will need the correct harness in order for this to be remedied, which as you mentioned for your 2020 Ram 1500 is the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Ram # 3024-P.
