Question:
Hi Team. I have a little trailer and evidently the axle spindles are uncommon in diameter. I need to get another hub so that I have a spare. The two that I have are in excellent condition and I just had new tires mounted on them. Sigh. I really do not wish to lose so much $$ by having to get a new axle, and three new hubs, and new bearings etc. Is there any means to pay more, say $100 for a hub that would work on this older axle spindle? You guys seem the ones to ask if anyone could help me find a plausible solution, it would be you! LOL I am enclosing a picture of the measurement of the axle spindle. Maybe there is a sleeve that could go over the spindle to bring it up to 1inch ?? Thank you for your time, Brandon

Unfortunately you do have an odd size spindle. My recommendation is to replace the spindle with the BTR E-Z Lube Spindle for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles - 1-1/4" Diameter # TRU44FR and then use hubs like the following options based on your bolt pattern:
-Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 4 on 4 - L44649 Bearings - Pre-Greased # AKIHUB-440-2-EZ-2K
-Trailer Idler Hub for 2K E-Z Lube Axles - 13" to 15" Wheels - 5 on 4-1/2 - Pre-Greased # AKIHUB-545-2-LFEZ-2K
This will let you keep your current wheel/tire combinations but does require precise welding to replace your spindles so the tires track correctly and wear evenly.
