Roof Rack System for 2007 Honda Odyssey with Bare Roof
Question:
I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey without factory raised rails and was wondering if this setup would work with my vehicle? There isn’t an option to shop for racks that fit on my vehicle without factory raised rails, but at least one of the pictures shows a thule rack being used to clip under the door jam on a car without raised rails. Is that an option for this particular square bar setup? If these won’t work, which ones will? Also, I am going to be picking up some Kayaks on August 8, if these or others would work on my Honda, would I be able to get the rack before august 8? Thanks for your time.

All of the standard roof racks we have available for the 2007 Honda Odyssey are designed to attach to raised side rails on the roof. The best solution I can offer for a bare roof configuration is the SeaSucker Monkey Bars # 298-SX6000B, which use unique vacuum cups to securely attach to the top of the roof.
A really nice thing about this particular system is its versatility, as it can easily transfer to a different or new vehicle down the line without needing to add new components. Just about any other standard rack (such as the Thule setup you were looking at) would at the very least require new fit kit parts to attach to a different vehicle.
I've attached a short video review on the SeaSucker system below that you can also check out.
