Can Bearings for # 8-258-5UC1 Hub Be Swapped with L44643 Bearings

Question:

I purchased a set of hubs with the bearings inside already. After I installed them I realized there was something wrong and saw that they gave me 1-1/16inch bearings. If I just buy the 1inch bearings now can they fit in that hub?

We offer two different 5 lug 4-1/2 bolt circle idler hubs for 2000 lb axles, one that uses the L44649 bearing that has a 1.063 inside diameter and the other uses the L44643 bearing that has a 1 inch inside diameter.

The # 8-258-5UC1 hub you are using has the L44649 bearings, which have a 1.063 inside diameter, you would need the # 8-258BTUC1 hub. Unfortunately, the bearings are NOT interchangeable between the two hubs and you will need to replace the hubs with the # 8-258BTUC1.
