Recommended Replacement Shank for Blue Ox Sway Control With Larger Rise or Drop

Question:

That is not quite what I am looking for. Your solution would require that I unbolt the Blue Ox head from my existing shank, and remount onto the new shank. And then back to the old one to tow with the original vehicle. What I would like is a separate shank and head setup up so I can just slide and go with either vehicle.

To use the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BXW1000 with a vehicle that has a different height, you don't need to replace the entire system, you just may need a longer shank for increased rise or drop. I recommend using the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Shank for 2" Hitches - 12" Long - 9 Hole Adjustment # BXW4003.

Got it. In order to do that, you would either want a complete second system # BXW1006 or you would want the shank # BXW4003 for the larger drop and then the Replacement Head for Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Systems - Trunnion Bar # BXW4011. You will still need the hitch ball # 19286 with either option. If you go with the separate head and shank, you will need to get grade 8 hardware locally to connect them, but then you would just use your current bars and lift brackets. If you also want the bars use # BXW4007.
