Weight Difference Between Aluminum and Steel Torklift Tie Downs
Question:
What are the weight differences between the TLF2012 and TLF2012A and also the TLF3004 and TLF3004A? I need to extend my 2inch class 3 hitch 22inch to 24inch to clear my camper. I want it to carry a bike rack with no more than 200lbs total weight. I notice that 18inch is the longest extension made. I understand that stability is a bigger issue than tongue weight. Can I use two extensions with hitch stabilizers and maybe even some side-to-side stabilizing straps? Short of replacing the hitch itself what, if anything, would you recommend? Thank you

The part # TLF2012A weighs 27 lbs and the # TLF2012 weighs 31 lbs. The # TLF3004A weighs 35 lbs and the # TLF3004 weighs 28 lbs.
I would not recommend using two hitch extenders with a bike rack. You might consider a front hitch to carry a bike rack.
