Replacement 7-Way/4-Way for 2006 Dodge Ram 3500

Question:

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie edition I bought. The knuckle head that had before me traded it in and cut off All the plugs that go to a trailer and the braking system. All I have under truck is all loose wires. This truck was set up with a 7 pin plug along with a 4 way plug system. I want to add the actual plug or connectors to truck. So all I have to do them is add my 7 way plug in the number and just plug it up. How do I know what wires go to what and how to wire it to a plug???? So I can then just plug my 7 way plug to it?? Hope I’m explaining this good enough for you to understand. If something happens to any of my trailer plugs I want to be able to just hook the plug up to the truck plug without having to hard wire anything. I know I’ll have to hard wire the connector to all the wires that’s what I’m trying to do. Anything on these colors under truck?? What plugs or connector do I need to buy to hard wire to all the wires under truck. I want it to have the 7 way plug and 4 way. Thank you

We have the Pollak 7-way and 4-way kit part # HM40975-11933 which is designed to plug into the square connector at the rear of your 2006 Ram 3500 and give you both a 7-way and a 4-way like you are wanting. But whether or not this will plug right into the truck depends on where the previous owner of your truck cut the wiring. If you can trace the wiring back and find the square connector this plugs into then this would be the correct solution. If this connector was cut off then you'd have to trace the wiring up further.
