Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2008 Ford E-350 Shuttle Bus
Question:
I have a 2008 Ford E-350 DRW cutaway van built as a Shuttlebus... I have been told the E-350 is on an F-350 frame. If this is true, do I purchase a receiver for an F-350 or an E-350? Also, how would I measure to know if you have a hitch that will fit my frame and extend beyond the bumper being that it is a cutaway van? Thanks for any insight.

Expert Reply:
The E-350 is not the same as the F-350 frame. The E-350 cutaway is the van chassis not the truck chassis. The custom options we have are not a confirmed fit for the cutaway chassis, so you instead will want to use an RV hitch receiver. I recommend the Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 18" to 51" Wide # C13702 which will bolt into place and will have the extended receiver so you won't need to worry about the extended length of your bus past the rear wheels to have bumper clearance.
