3 Bar Roof Rack Options For Roof Top Tent On A 2016 Ford Transit T350
Question:
I have. 2016 Transit 350 Hi Roof and would like to install a roof rack on which I want to install a rooftop tent. The rooftop tent empty weighs 175 lbs, when loaded with 2 adults I estimate total weight to be 500 lbs. I am considering either the Thule Rapid Podium AeroBar using 3 crossbars. or. The Rhino Rack HD Cross Bar-Square Roof Rack using 3 crossbars . Which do you recommend ?

I recommend getting the Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Roof Rack Crossbars # RB1800S-3 over the Vortex Aero Bars # RRVA180B-3 because of the weight capacity. The Heavy Dusty Crossbars come in two colors, silver and black # RB1800B-3 and are 71 inches long with a weight capacity of 220 lbs apposed to the Vortex bars which only have 165. Both systems use the Rhino-Rack RLTP Legs # RRRLTPFC-3. This will give you the option to either mount your tent via T-Track or the tent can simply wrap around the bar, your preference!
I've included the review video of the roof rack system and It will work well with a rooftop tent on your 2016 Transit T350 Hi Roof.
