Recommended Hitch Adapter for Increased Stability using Thule T2 Pro XT 1.25 Inch BIke Rack

For your Thule T2 Pro XT # TH23JV with 1.25 inch shank, the anti-rattle adapter should be tightened when installing while wiggling and moving the rack shank simultaneously. The movement while installing removes some of the slack that may naturally be there providing more stability when the bikes are loaded.
If you still want additional stability, I recommend using the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 1-1/4" Trailer Hitches # RM-061-125 which is a mechanical assist so it will require a wrench.
