Roof Rack With Long Crossbars for 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab to Carry Kayaks

Hello ... I have a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500. Im looking for a roof rack so I can carry two kayaks side by side ... both flat cockpit down. Im not interested in the J style carriers. Each kayak is approx 35inch wide at 75lbs. Possibly just pool noodle around the bars and strap ? Can you please suggest a roof rack that would best work for this... im guessing a 70inch bar would be best ?

To carry a pair of wide kayaks on their hull you are correct that you are going to need a pair of wide crossbars on your 2018 GMC Sierra 1500, and the only rack that can give you the 70 inch crossbars that you'll require is from Yakima. The roof rack that fits your truck is made up of the following:
