Does Curt Multi-Fit Hitch for Rear of Travel Trailer Still Require Stabilizer Strap
Question:
I am having this hitch installed on my Winnebago Minnie Travel Trailer, and I want to use my Kuat platform rack to bring my bikes camping. I see in the notes the requirement for a stabilizer to be used, however I am not sure how that is possible with a platform style bike rack? Any advice? Thanks for your help!

Expert Reply:
Curt no longer requires the use of stabilizer straps with their hitches so you do not need to worry about that requirement any more. The bad news is that your Kuat is not approved for use at the rear of a travel trailer where the ride quality is much rougher so we can't safely recommend you use the rack in your # 13703 but we do have the similar Kuat # KU84FR which is reinforced for the much rougher ride quality and would work great.
