Recommended Custom Fit Base Rails and 25K 5th Wheel Hitch on 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500

HOW MUCH APPROX. TO INSTALL A FIFTH WHEEL ON A 2020 SILVERADO 2500HD 6.6L V8? SHOULD I GET THE 20, 25 OR 30K?

For your 2020 Silverado 2500, if you don't have the factory pucks then I recommend the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Chevy/GMC Truck - Carbide Finish # C16429-204 which are the custom fit for your truck. If you install it yourself it will take about 80 minutes, and if you have a professional install it will take about 40 minutes.

If you don't know the weight of your trailer or think you may upgrade in size at some point, I recommend going with the 25K. Most trailers are under this weight, but some are slightly over 20. I have yet to see one between 25 and 30K but trucks weren't rated for that capacity even a few years back so some people like knowing they have the ability to pull the full capacity even though that may never be needed. I recommend the Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 25,000 lbs # C16180 which is a great fit at that capacity.
