Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch to Allow For Hooking and Unhooking on Uneven Ground
Question:
I have a 2015 Silverado 2500 pickup 6 1/2 foot bed That will tow a 2021 Jayco Eagle 321RSTS. I am looking for a 16K or bigger 5th wheel hitch that will pivot 10 degrees side to side. I need this because of parking on uneven ground and hitching and unhitching. I would like a slider model. Do you have anything that will fit my needs?

According to my tech contact at Curt, the Curt Q20 # C16536 head will pivot up from 7-1/2 degrees up to a maximum of 10 degrees, which is the maximum available for a 5th wheel hitch. This hitch has a spherical axial bearing on the hitch head to allow for the maximum pivoting range on the hitch head and comes with the R20 slider base included.
If you don't already have base rails on your 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 you'll want to use the Custom Rail Installation Kit # C16411-204.
