Kayak Carrier Solution for 2006 Honda Accord with Naked Roof
Question:
I’m trying to use foam blocks on my Honda accord to Haul a large fishing kayak. I’ve looked at the racks but think something like the Darby Extend-A-Truck Kayak Carrier w/ Hitch Mounted Load Extender and Single-Bar Roof Rack would be perfect to be used in conjunction with the foam blocks. Will this work? I plan to get a trick soon so I don’t want to invest in a roof rack for the Honda.

The issue with load extenders like the Darby that you referenced is that they only fit 2 inch hitches and would be too tall for a Honda Accord that also would have only a smaller hitch size available. We have foam block kayak carriers like Malone part # MPG154 which can install on a naked roof like your 2006 Honda Accord.
This would be best option for right now till you get a truck since it's not a big investment.
