Troubleshooting Installation of Roadmaster FuseMaster Bypass On 2019 Buick Envision

Question:

I Installed this and followed the procedure on the owners manual but when I shut down the car, the alarm goes off saying transmission is not im park and keeps ringing even after this fuse disconnect is on the disconnect position. This fuse disconnect does turn the lights off but the infotainment continues on showing the time and the alarm doesnt turn off. Any clue what is going on?

The Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicle - (2) 20-Amp ATM Mini-Fuses # RM76512 does not seem to be operating correctly. The manufacturer suggests to confirm the following when it fails to operate correctly:

• …the pins are fully seated in the fuse socket and not touching each other;
• …the wiring is properly connected to the back of the switch;
and
• …there is a properly-installed fuse in the FuseMaster harness and that it is not blown.

Double check the installation as well. I've linked a video to help. This part is confirmed to fit 2016-2020 Buick Envision models so there must be an installation issue causing the alarm you stated. Double check the fuse locations in your owners manual...I see F29 as Body Control Module 2 and F32 Body Control Module 1 in the passenger side glove box as the correct location in the online manual.
