Thule ProBar Evo Crossbars for 2020 Subaru Forester With Raised Side Rails

Hi, I need 72 inch wide bars to carry two lightweight kevlar canoes on my 2020 Subaru Forester with factory installed raised roof rails running from front to back. The 79 inch Thule ProBar Crossbars looks like the only option available for bars this wide. I probably want to cut the bars down to 72. Three questions: 1. Do Thule Rapid Crossroad Feet for Thule Crossbars - Raised Railing TH450R work with this bar? 2. Do Thule Evo Raised Rail Feet for Thule Crossbars - Factory Raised Rails TH710401 work with this bar? 3. Is there a reason to choose one set of feet over the others - i.e. for sunroof clearance or for cutting the bars to length? 4. Probably should have asked this first - is there any reason I cant cut these bars to length? 5. Im having trouble finding the lock cores on your site. What lock cores go with the feet above? Thanks

I can answer all of your questions about the Thule ProBar Evo crossbars, though I do need to say that crossbars of this length are much longer than the recommended 50 inch bars for your 2020 Subaru Forester, so if you're using the 79 inch Thule ProBar Evo Crossbars # TH713700 or even the 69 inch # TH713600, they are going to stick out well over a foot from the side of your vehicle, so you'll want to remove them when you aren't using the rack.

As for your questions, I'll get to them one-by-one for you.

1) I checked with Thule for you, and the ProBar Evo crossbars are compatible and will work with the Rapid Crossroad Feet for Thule Crossbars - Raised Railing # TH450R.

2) The ProBar Evo crossbars will also work with the Evo Raised Rail Feet for Thule Crossbars - Factory Raised Rails # TH710401.

3) As for choosing one over the other, I recommend going with the latest version, the Evo Raised Rail Feet, as these are the newest model which are easier to install and use than the older Rapid Crossroad Feet.

4) You can absolutely cut to length the 79" Long Thule ProBar Evo Crossbars # TH713700.

5) The lock cores you need for the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders - Qty 4 # TH450400
