Question:
Hey guys...I got a great response about flat towing my 2017 Grand Cherookee Trailhawk and the parts I needed, but it appears I have some already instllaed and woindering if you may be able to idnetify what is next. I think I have a BLue Ox base plate, but without the connections. Also i have a Blue Ox wiring harness adpator of some sort, but not sure if it is the whole light hook up. I will attach pics to see if anyone cantell me what I have and or am missing on the bas plate side. THanks!!

The first thing you need to flat tow your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is the Roadmaster Direct-Connect kit part # RM-521440-5 which is the easiest to use and best priced option for your vehicle. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.
In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. The most popular compatible tow bar is the Falcon All Terain, # RM-522. This has non-binding arms which makes the setup very easy to connect/disconnect.
For lighting/safety cables, locks, and covers for the tow bar we have the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain kit part # RM-9243-1 which comes with all of that as one part number. The diode kit that comes with this allows you to splice into the taillight wiring so that your RV controls the vehicle taillights and does not require drilling into the taillight housings. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.
And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
Most likely you will also need a high low adapter so that the tow bar will be level when you are flat towing. I attached a link to a page that has all of the ones we carry.
I have included a couple of helpful links to our articles on flat towing for you. Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual for more specific information on flat towing your vehicle.
Question:
Hey guys. I have been looking at many questions about the 2017 Cherokee trailhawk being flat towed, but I just bought a 2017 GRAND Cherokee Trailhawk, and would like to know what it will take to flat tow? I know it has the tow hooks, which I think from what I have read, makes it somewhat less expensive, but lemme have : Thanks

Thanks for the picture! That's definitely a Blue Ox base plate kit item # BX1128 so what you need are replacement tabs item # BX62-3468 and you'd have that taken care of. You will also need a tow bar like item # BX7420 instead of the Roadmaster I mentioned earlier as well. It looks like you already have diode wiring installed so you'd need a coiled wiring adapter as well. The connector you have is the item # BLU43XR so for an adapter to connect this up to your tow vehicle's 7-way you'd need the item # HM47053.
