You don't have to remove the mounting plate if you're wanting to replace just the Fulton Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Marine Jack # FTJ120W0301, but you will get one with the kit so you'll have an extra. We do not sell just the jack only a couple replacement parts. You just need to have a tool to release the snap ring to remove the jack.

If you grab another jack # FTJ120W0301 it will come with everything you need to replace and a bit more.
