Question:
I am converting my drum brakes to disc on my 2004 Karavan tandem axle trailer and want to make sure that I order the right seals and bearings. My trailer has the following markings GVWR 2670 KG/ PNBV 5886 LB, there are two numbers on it as follows UST-5000-TB-78-10- , 5KTBS23285F179916. I believe one is the serial number. The number on my axles are as follows 310-01437-ZN-C, AA01067 W/GALV BRAKES FB W/SPRINGS. Would like to make sure that order the right bearings and seals to convert my axles over to these Kodiak disc brakes. Thank you.

In order to upgrade to disc brakes on a Karavan Boat Trailer (UST-5000-TB-78-10) you'll want to use the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit part # K2HR35D which comes with everything you need besides the Bearing Kit part # DBRKHW35EZ and a new surge brake actuator rated for use with disc brakes like the DDexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator part # 099-175-20.
I have attached a full list of options below.
Dexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator - Disc Brakes - 2" Ball - Zinc Plated - 7,500 lbs
Bearing Kit for Trailer Brakes w/ 8" or 10" Hub/Rotor - EZ-Lube - 3,500 lbs
Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10" Hub/Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Dacromet - 3,500 lbs
