While the Demco Recon # DM8550045 comes with a 3" offset, you can't use an offset gooseneck ball to get a further offset, so it's not really a great solution for short bed trucks since it won't give you the clearance from the cab necessary to make a full 90 degree turn. You might be able to use something like the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset - 12" to 16" Tall # CAB-C5GX1216, which would provide 7-1/2" of clearance, but I still think you're going to have some issues with clearance.

Your best solution is going to be using a sliding hitch, which will provide you with the proper clearance required for a short bed truck. If you can tell me a little bit more about the truck you're towing with, including the bed length and what type of gooseneck hitch you've got, I can help you locate the appropriate solution.
