One Dexter Nev-R Adjust Electric Brake Assembly Locking Up On Gooseneck Trailer W/ 7000lb Axles

I have a triple axle gooseneck and only 1 tire on 1 side locks up. The trailer has 7,000 dexter axles with never adjust brakes. I have to turn the brake controller way down to keep that 1 tire from locking up. I already ruined 1 tire, trying to not do that again. Thanks.

Since you only have one tire locking up on your triple axle gooseneck trailer it sounds like the Dexter Nev-R Adjust Brake Assembly could have a short close to the assembly locking up.

I recommend checking the connectors and wiring for the assembly locking up for any damage, exposed wire, or a loose connector that could be causing your issue.

If the connectors and wiring are all secure and have no damage, I recommend checking the brake assembly on the opposite side to ensure you are getting 12 volts with the brakes applied. Make sure that the connectors are secure for the assembly and none of the wires have any damage that could be causing an issue.

If both assemblies have no loose connectors or wiring damage, inspect the magnet on the assembly locking up to ensure there is no exposed windings.
