However, these are typically used as a last-resort solution in the case that there isn't a standard base plate available for your vehicle. Instead, I recommend using the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # 277-3A for baseplates on your 2005 Ram 2500. These have an easy, bolt-on installation and will be compatible with all Roadmaster tow bars that slide into trailer hitch receivers.
