How much does each component head and base weigh? Does the head detach from the base easily for installation and removal?

The total weight of the Curt Q20 hitch part # C16536 is 236 lbs, the base weighs 127 lbs and the head weighs 109 lbs. This hitch wasn't really designed for easy breaking down like you mentioned.
The Patriot Slider part # BWRVK3270 on other had was designed for this type of quick break down. It weighs less at 220 lbs total. The head weighs 51 lbs and the base 169 lbs.
