Can K2 Motorcycle Carrier be Used with Swing Away Hitch Pivot Adapter
Question:
I have a Class B Sprinter motorhome. Can the K2 motorcycle tilting carrier be installed to a Kuat Pivot 2 to carry a 60# ebike? I like the tilting feature making it easier to load my ebike onto the carrier. I saw your recommendations for a Thule EasyFold XT but I dislike all the plastic. What is the weight of the K2? TIA

Expert Reply:
The Kuat Pivot part # PVP20B can only be used with Kuat bike racks according to Kuat whereas the Thule Pivot Adapter part # TH9037 can fit any 2 inch hitch accessory that is under it's weight capacity of 350 lbs. So what that means is that with the Thule adapter you could use the K2 carrier # K2TMC201 with an e-bike like you mentioned. This carrier weighs 90 lbs and with your 60 lb e-bike you'd easily be under the weight capacity.
