How to Use a Rooftop Tent on 2020 Ford Ranger SuperCrew With 5 Foot Bed

I have a 2020 Ford Ranger XLT super crew short bed 5 ft Please recommend me a roof rack system for fishing rods holder and a roof top tent to be installed at the same time. Thanks.

Your 2020 Ford Ranger SuperCrew with a 5 foot bed will be able to accommodate a rooftop tent, though it needs to be with a rack system on the truck bed. The issue with all rooftop tents is that to mount them on a roof rack, the rack must be attached to raised side rails on the roof of your truck in order to distribute the weight.

So in order to carry fishing rod holders and a rooftop tent on your 2020 Ford Ranger, you will need the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack # Y01151-58.

This rack system will fit your Ranger's truck bed and allow you to utilize the long 68 inch crossbars for your gear as well as a rooftop tent such as the Yakima SkyRise HD Tent # Y07436.
