Question:
Is vertical adjustability required on both sides tow vehicle and trailer or just one side?

Expert Reply:
Vertical adjustability is not required on both sides. In most cases the trailer side is usually fixed # 336TS504 and the vehicle side usually has the adjustments # 336VS503505. As long as the trailer and towing vehicle are level these adjustments aren't needed. If you wanted to use the Lock N Roll Articulating Coupler # 336TS502 on your trailer side to get adjustments, you can weld something like this # 336TS518 on your trailer.
Lock N Roll Articulating Coupler - A-Frame - Trailer Side - 11K
Lock N Roll 5-Position Adjustable Channel Bracket - Weld On - 11,000 lbs
Lock N Roll Articulating Hitch w/ 3-Position Channel - 2" Receivers - Vehicle Side - 11K
Lock N Roll Articulating Coupler - Adjustable Channel Mount - Trailer Side - 11K
