How To Use 2" Bike Rack On a 2004 Honda Accord

I own a 2004 Honda Accord 4 Cylinder Sedan. I have a 1Up Bike Rack that holds two bikes, and it has a 2 inch hitch. Would it be a problem to install a Draw Tite 1 1/4 hitch and get an adapter to make it a 2 inch hitch?

The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24787 is a great option for a 2004 Honda Accord (Sedan/Coupe). It has a class I rating with 1-1/4" receiver tube opening. That is all that is available for a Honda Accord so if you need to use a 2" bike rack you can get a 1-1/4" to 2" adapter. I recommend the Brophy Hitch Expander part # HTAD which is class I rated.

That said, using such adapter will reduce the weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50% so you will need to keep capacities in mind. The adapters will also reduce weight capacity by 50%.
