Question:
Looking to get Thule aero-bars on our 2020 Highlander Hybrid. We have thule bike racks from previous car that dont fit the OEM roof bars. There is a single bolt 1/2 head on flush-fit rails, that seems to be the same style hold-down as the Audi in your demo video, but the problem is that its in a 5 opening with the cover off the rail, that could be too big for the Thule rail foot to cover fully. FYI, rail-to-rail distance is 43.5 in the front and 42.5 in the back. Is there someone that can help me determine if there is a Thule rail adapter that will work?

Although Yakima offers a roof rack fit for the 2020 Highlander, Thule doesn't currently offer a fit.
I'd recommend a Yakima JetStream roof rack which would consist of the following parts:
• Yakima 60 inch JetStream crossbars, part # Y00426
• BaseLine towers, part # Y00146
• Round Bar SL adapter, part # Y03536
• Fit Kit, part # Y06153
These racks don't attach using the flush rails on the roof. They attach using clips that mount to the upper jamb of each door. The crossbars are 3-1/8 inches wide and 1 inch tall, so you'll want to check your current accessories to see if they'd be compatible.
