Can Hitch Extender Allow More Clearance Between Trailer for Tighter Turning
Question:
Our trailer hitch is to short to make a very sharp turn into our back yard the trailer hits the truck. We were thinking about an adapter. Will this work? Should we go with a longer tow bar?

Expert Reply:
Hitch adapters like the part # HE18 will definitely add clearance so that you can turn sharper but due to the length and added movement they do cut the capacity of the hitch they are installed in by 50 percent. Typically, we recommend longer ball mounts like the # BM20 instead if possible.
