Will this hitch fit a 2017 Acura MDX with a full size spare tire

As long as the spare tire uses an 18" or smaller wheel, it will still fit after the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98840 you were looking at is installed on your 2017 Acura MDX.

If you have a spare tire with larger than an 18" wheel you will need to purchase a compact spare tire from your local Acura dealer, as none of the trailer hitch receivers offered for your vehicle will work with a wheel larger than 18".

The etrailer # e98840 you were looking at is a great option due to it using a hidden cross tube which leaves only the receiver it-self visible as you can see in the included picture, and the tough matte black powder coat finish will help to prevent wear and tear.

If you are planning on towing with your MDX you will also need trailer wiring, and a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip.

For wiring I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118628 which will plug into your vehicle's wiring harness and will not require any cutting or splicing.

Lastly I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 which includes two ball mounts, two hitch balls, two hitch pins and clips, and a carrying case.
