Question:
Regarding the Timbren Industries Axle-Less axles, such as ASR2KHDS02, is the 2,000lb rating for the sprung weight and not the unsprung weight ie. wheels and tires. I have a trailer Im building where the weight of the trailer excluding the wheels and tires will be 1,050 pounds dry but with full gear it will be closer to 1,900lbs. I want to use the 2k rated axles and my wheels/tires separate weigh a total of 225lbs. The total weight loaded and including the wheels/tires would be 2,125.

When using the Timbren # ASR2KHDS02, the weight of the wheels and tires won't affect or count towards the capacity since they're load bearing as well. For that reason, as long as the weight of the frame and gear don't exceed 2000-lbs, there won't be any cause for concern using heavier off-road style tires with this axle-less suspension system.
