Creating a Roof Rack System for 2011 (And Newer) Dodge Grand Caravan

Question:

I have searched your website for a roof rack system that will fit my 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. I cannot find a roof rack that is shown to fit my vehicle. Can you tell me if you have a rack system that will fit my vehicle? I did see this video but I have been unable to find those specific parts on the site. Any help you could give me would be very much appreciated.

Ever since Dodge Grand Caravan's facelift mid-2011, the only brand that had a compatible roof rack for this new design was Thule. They used the Rapid Traverse Feet which is what you saw in the video. Since then though, Thule has phased out their Rapid Traverse line and replaced it with their Wingbar Evo Towers. Since your vehicle has a naked roof, it requires custom-fit hooks or fit kits. Thule has not yet designed an Evo fit kit for the newer Dodge Grand Caravans.

If you still want a roof rack system, you need to do some customizations to the roof of your vehicle. One method is to attach the Thule track system # THTP54 to your roof. From there, you attach the Podium Fit Kit # THKIT3101 and the Podium Feet # TH460R. Finally, you put the crossbars on top. The Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars- 53" # TH711420 are a good option. You can also get the 60" crossbars # TH711520, but I prefer the 53" for your vehicle for minimal overhang.

Until brands are able to make roof racks for 2011 and later Dodge Grand Caravans, some drilling and creativity is needed to get a working roof rack on your vehicle.
